Klir is a start-up business that has built up considerable expertise in the RegTech sector. Over the past 5 years, we have combined compliance experts with brilliant technology people to deliver innovative solutions, mainly – but not exclusively – in the area of environmental regulatory compliance. Our founders, David and Elaine, have amassed years’ experience in Ireland and Europe, designing bespoke IT systems for regulators and utilities, among others.


As Klir continues to improve the way to manage regulatory compliance, we need the right talents to join our consultancy team. We are now looking for a QA Manager to support the delivery of a new client website and online portal which will facilitate the online delivery of our client’s services. The QA Manager will have no direct reports. The role will be based on-site in Dublin 1.


The Role:

The QA Manager will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders as a member of the IT and Project delivery team with the objective to reduce development defects and maintain quality standards. The QA Manager’s main responsibilities will include:

  • Define, maintain and document quality assurance strategy and processes, and advise on best practice test management techniques;
  • Coordinate and execute end to end testing of systems under development;
  • Create test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications and link traceability records from test cases back to requirements;
  • Produce and execute complex test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services, whilst maintaining a defect register;
  • Evaluate third party software prior to acceptance into UAT;
  • Report on progress, risks, quality stats etc.



  • have worked in a similar QA role in the last 4 years as a minimum, with a proven ability to define and execute end to end system and UAT testing processes. Within this time, the successful candidate will need to have demonstrated experience in managing a QA function within a complex Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment and with online portals from at least 2 projects;
  • have an ability to quickly become abreast of organisational structures, systems and business processes to allow the application of this knowledge to testing;
  • have an advantage if you have previously been involved in the implementation of an online service.


Position Details

Type: full-time, 1-year contract with a view to extend

Location: Dublin city centre

Salary: commensurate with the level of experience we are seeking

Benefits: flexible benefits worth €1,000 + 5% of basic salary pro rata, income protection and death-in-service insurance, participation in the company’s share options plan.


The successful candidate needs to be available to commence this role per 1stJuly 2019, or shortly thereafter.
